Hollywood's Beauty Secret

Many Hollywood stars since the early 1900’s have utilized colon cleansing as their “secret” for maintaining their youth and beauty until well into their 70’s and 80’s.

Mae West was well known for her gorgeous complexion.   According to her biographer, George Eells, she often taunted reporters with her beauty secret; in fact, well-known Hollywood reporter, Jim Bacon, ran almost daily items hinting at some arcane beauty ritual that was responsible for her remarkable physical preservation but that couldn’t be explained in a family newspaper.

According to Eells, Jacqueline Susann, Lana Turner and other jet-setters from as far away as Rio, Paris, London and Rome telephoned to try to wring Mae’s secret from Bacon.  In fact, he realized the depth of the interest in the secret while traveling behind the Iron Curtain in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.  A young reporter inquired through an interpreter, “What is Mae West’s beauty secret?”

For her part, Mae was always ready to pull up her wig and show the press that there were no scars from plastic surgery on  baby soft skin.  She finally revealed that her much speculated on secret lay in her obsession with a clean colon.  She took one colonic weekly for many, many years.  When skeptics objected that medical experts frowned on such a schedule, Mae smiled knowingly.  “Sure,” she agreed.  “Why wouldn’t they?  If you never get sick, how are they gonna earn any money?”

Many stars since Mae West, including Gloria Swanson, have been dedicated to regular colon cleansing as the key to their beauty and health.  In fact, although I am not at liberty to divulge their names, I know that many of today’s Hollywood stars and top New York models have weekly colonics to help maintain their youthful complexion and vitality.  In fact, Kim Bassinger has been quoted in many newspapers as attributing her beautiful skin to weekly colonics.

Really, it’s just common sense.  Constipation is your complexion's worst enemy.  When your colon is clogged with waste material, your body tries to eliminate toxins through the skin.  Even if your skin is functioning properly, these waste materials end up deposited in the pores and tissues creating a sallow and mottled complexion.  In fact, many women, as they get older, think they need to use more makeup because their skin color has changed and their complexion has become blotchy.  In truth, they have just become more toxic.

Many of my clients initially decide to go on a cleansing program because they are having skin problems.  Often they have tried everything, including antibiotics prescribed by a dermatologist. Not only do their skin problems not clear up satisfactorily, but many have undesirable side effects from the drugs.

Sarah is such a client of mine.  She was referred to me by a skin-care specialist.  When I first saw her, she had terrible acne, from her jaw line all the way down to the bottom of her neck!  Sarah had just lived through a stressful two years filled with some major lifestyle changes.  Following her father's death, she had taken over the family business, and her own personal care had assumed very low priority.  Once her business affairs were in order, she took a look at herself and realized something needed to be done.  Sarah had always had some slight problems with her skin, but nothing like the massive acne that she had now.

It took us more than a year of proper diet and an internal cleansing program, in conjunction with her regular skin-care treatments, to clear her skin of acne.  For Sarah, her complexion problem was a warning sign that something was the matter.  The condition of her skin is her barometer to tell her when to pay more attention to her diet, her stress management, and her systems of elimination.  We all have warning signs in our bodies, and for many of us, the first changes occur in the skin.  When you have a sudden breakout, your body is trying to tell you that something beneath the surface needs to be corrected.

So, be sure to pay attention to the warning signs!
